Now with After Market Orders (AMOs), you can place your orders conveniently in the stock markets even after the close of regular trading hours.

An After Market Order can be placed by the customer just like any other normal order in the cash segment of both NSE and BSE.

Here's a look at some important points regarding AMOs:

• Timings : You can place an AMO from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm, and also between 11.00 pm to 8.00 am the next morning.

• Order Type: Only Limit Orders and Stop-Loss Orders can be placed while choosing AMO

• Modification/cancellation: You can cancel AMOs from your Order Book before 8.00 am.

• Price Band: You will have to specify a limit price within +/- 5% of the closing price of scrip on a given day while placing an AMO. For Eg.- If the closing price of a scrip is Rs. 100 then AMO can be placed in the price range of Rs. 95 to Rs. 105

Kindly note:

a) AMOs will be executed when the market reopens the next day, only if the Limit Price set by you matches the market price at any time on the next day, and upon availability of sufficient margins.

b) AMO orders can be placed only in the Cash Segment of the markets.

c) Since margin limits for AMOs are checked only after 8.00 am before the start of trading, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that sufficient margins (either as cash margins or stocks ) is available in the trading account.
